Al-Saad Foundation for Knowledge and Scientific Research was founded in 2012 as a dedication for the historical heritage of late Amir of Kuwait H.H. Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Al Sabah “May his soul rest in peace”, with the aim to raise of human development through social research, public advocacy in education, development of scientific knowledge, social change based on data and research.

A memorandum was signed by “Al-Saad Foundation for Knowledge and Scientific Research” and “Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network” on the 14th of November 2019 to exchange experiences and find opportunities for female inventors to develop and globally market their projects.

Moreover, memorandum was signed by and between the CEO of Al-Saad Foundation Sheikha Fadia Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and GlobalWIIN Ambassador at Kuwait Eng. Jenan Al-Shehab in the attendance of Dr. Bola Olabisi the CEO of GWIIN and the CEO of IBTIKAR Initiative Sheikha Nabila Salman Al-Homoud Al-Sabah.

This memorandum states that the Middle East Network for Innovation under the presidency of Eng. Jenan Al-Shehab will be launched from Kuwait on March 8th 2020 under the umbrella of Al-Saad Foundation in cooperation with the Union of Kuwaiti Women’s Associations (ESCWA) to support various projects in the Middle East. The main goal is to exchange experiences and values to the best interest of inventors and innovators in the Middle East and finding mutual opportunities for them to develop their projects and invest it in the global markets.

It is also clarified that the Middle East Network will include (IBTIKAR) Annual Award to support inventions and innovations that will qualify the winner to participate in the GlobalWIIN Awards in the United Kingdom 2020

“IBTIKAR” is non-profit educational and training initiative that works jointly to achieve many educational and social goals through refining the skills of male and female students to become an effective element in the community.

“IBTIKAR” will become globally by signing a memoranda partnership with The Global Women Inventors & Innovators Network (GlobalWIIN) allowing the initiative to organize a competition on a Middle East level by which winners will be directly qualified to participate in the GlobalWIIN Award competition that is scheduled to be held in June 2020, in London.

For her part, the CEO of IBTIKAR Sheikha Nabila Al-Homoud Al-Sabah said that the award will be as a nomination card for winners to the GlobalWIIN in cooperation with WinTrade Platform.

Al-Saad foundation, in cooperation with the Middle East Network for Invention and Innovation, organizes the first competition at the region’s level 2020.

This qualifies the winners to participate directly in the to the GlobalWIIN award in cooperation with WinTrade Platform, to be held in the British capital, London, June 2020The competition aims to encourage the role of women in the fields of scientific and non-scientific inventions and innovations and in the field of entrepreneurship and scientific research.

    The invention must be new to compete with international projects.
    Proof of ownership of the idea (license, certificate, to whom it may concern from the concerned authorities)
  3. In the field of Scientific Research
    Proof of ownership of scientific research (master s thesis, institution s research, published or registered personal research).
    An approval from the institution in which the scientific research is completed.
    The scientific research must be new and not a completion of other research.
  4. Participant must be 18 years or older.
  5. For women from the Middle East countries (Competition condition).
